3. World Conference on Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Esteemed Academicians, Business World, Civil Society and Public Sector Representatives,

Istanbul University organized the first World Conference on Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship in May, 2015 in support of Turkey broader Vision 2023 for Science and Technology Strategies. The 2015 conference was held under the auspices of the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology and TUBITAK. Accepted full-text manuscripts from the conference were published by Elsevier and indexed by Science-Direct.

On May 21, 2016, Istanbul University, in collaboration with the Young Directors and Businessman Association (GYIAD) and EPPA, organized a think-tank stakeholder workshop in preparation for the 2nd World Conference on Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Thereafter, 2nd World Conference on Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, was held on May 12-14, 2017 in İstanbul. It is crucial to provide a venue where advanced technologies and innovations in the economy have an opportunity to interact with successful entrepreneurs so that nations and enterprises can effectively compete in the global marketplace. Knowledge production and sharing rely on the type of ecosystem that this Conference will create in order to effectively impact growth. Given this context, the central theme of the previous congress was: Reforms for the Intellectual Economy and Innovative Entrepreneurship

The next congress, 3rd World Conference on Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, will be held on June 21 - 23, 2019. The central theme is Industry 4.0 Focused Innovation, Technology, Entrepreneurship and Manufacture

This interdisciplinary conference, will provide platforms to discuss scientific developments, the business world, and broader societal marked by significance in terms of technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship in the fields of Engineering Sciences and Technologies, Social and Behavioral Sciences, as well as Industrial Design and Art, Health Sciences.

The purposes of our conference are strategy-policy development for crisis-resistant economies and save the rising economies from middle income trap with technology, innovation, entrepreneurship and creating industry 4.0 based economy. For this purpose, we would like to bring national and international academicians, Business World, Public Sector Representativesand NGOs together.

Having the technology, innovation, entrepreneurship and the industry 4.0 based economy is treated as an ecosystem all over the World.

Istanbul University is the national and international brand which gives meaningful contributions to the development of higher education both in pre-Republic and post-Republic. Therewithal, Istanbul University contributes to the creating of policies for the development of innovative and intellectual economy in our country with the world congress in the field of innovation, entrepreneurship and technology . Another aim is to contribute to the innovative economic transition of European, Middle Asia and Middle East economies. We expect that, academicians, public administrators, politicians, private sector and NGO representatives from the our country and the world will contribute.
