Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the Scientific Committee and our Societies, it is my privilege to invite you to the Annual Meeting of the Swiss Society of Gastroenterology (SGG-SSG), the Swiss Society of Visceral Surgery (SGVC-SSCV), the Swiss Association for the Study of the Liver (SASL), the Swiss Society of Clinical Nutrition (GESKES) and the Swiss Society of Endoscopy Nurses and Associates (SVEP-ASPE).
This year's congress will take place again at the CongressCentre Kursaal Interlaken. The scientific program includes a broad range of educational and scientific sessions covering a spectrum of topics relevant for your daily practice. In addition to established highlights, there will be two Joint SGG-SGVC Sessions on Thursday and on Friday.
Outstanding international and national speakers have accepted to deliver keynote lectures on different emergent and important topics of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Visceral Surgery. In addition, there will be ample room for Free Communications, including video and case presentations, for which we hope to attract the best of Swiss basic, translational and clinical research in digestive and liver diseases. For the specialized nurses, SVEP-ASPE has worked out an exciting program for their members. Last but not least, the scientific program will be complemented by Lunch Symposia.
Besides the educational and scientific sessions the Annual Meeting should also be a time for informal exchange and social interactions. We strongly believe you will find the opportunities for professional and collegial interactions in the beautiful Berner Oberland, and enjoy the excitement of contemporary themes and new developments.
