The World Congress on Osteoporosis Osteoarthritis and Musculoskeletal Diseases-WCO

The World Congress on Osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis and Musculoskeletal Diseases just took place from April 19 to April 22, 2018 in the beautiful city of Krakow, Poland.

This 18th Edition of the WCO-IOF-ESCEO Congress was, once again, a very huge success:

3965 delegates took part in the largest event in the field of osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, frailty and sarcopenia.

The Scientific Advisory Committee, co-chaired by Professor René Rizzoli and Professor Cyrus Cooper, had an extremely difficult task, to select oral presentations, among 1513 submitted abstracts of the highest quality.

565 awards were distributed during the Congress.

For the 19th Edition which will take place in Paris, France from April 4 to April 7, 2019, the members of the Committee of Scientific Advisors of the International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) and the Scientific Advisory Board of the European Society for Clinical and Economic Aspects of Osteoporosis and Osteoarthritis (ESCEO) are developing a very exciting Congress’ scientific programme that will bring together the world’s best in the field of musculoskeletal health and disease.

We really hope to welcome you in Paris, France and that this Congress will move the field one step forward on all fronts; from new understanding of bone metabolism and pathology, to new strategies and options in prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
