9. MENATOX-Clinical Toxicology Conference

On behalf of the Middle East & North Africa Clinical Toxicology Association, we welcome you to the ninth edition of MENATOX that will take place in Istanbul, Turkey on February 19-22, 2020. The MENATOX conference will be organized in partnership with the Council of the Emergency Medicine Physicians Association of Turkey (EPAT). The congress will be held in Radisson Blu Hotel Istanbul Sisli .

Istanbul itself, formerly known as Byzantium and Constantinople is steeped in history, and abounds with palaces, monuments, museums, mosques and churches. Most notably are Hagia Sophia, the former Greek Orthodox Christian patriarchal cathedral, changed later to an Ottoman imperial mosque and now to a museum and the Sultan Ahmed Mosque popularly known as the Blue Mosque. Istanbul is a transcontinental city, straddling the Bosporus strait between Europe and Asia. Istanbul is one of the world's most populous cities, ranking as the world's fourth largest city and the largest European city.

The scientific program is currently under preparation. Clinical Toxicology is the discipline of Medicine that focuses on evaluating and treating poisoned and envenomed patients. It covers a wide range of toxic exposures including pharmaceuticals/drugs, chemical, biological, radiological, environmental and occupational ones. Time is challenging for Clinical Toxicology in the MENA region due to the armed conflicts and population displacement. During the meeting, we will feature our traditional popular sessions: Tox for the Emergency Department, Oral Abstracts, Rapid Fire, Critical Care Tox, Pediatric Tox, Occupational and Environmental Tox, Poison Center Administration, and Analytical Toxicology. Additionally, there will be a pre-congress scientific symposium.

As always, we aim to offer plenty of opportunity to network with colleagues from around the world at the breaks and lunches, and also at the regular social events such as the welcome reception and the Congress Dinner.

Deadline dates for Abstract submission, notification of acceptance to authors and registration at special rates will be rapidly announced. For accommodation, information on hotel room reservation and booking will be available on the congress website in due course.
