UAE Obesity Congress-NUOC 2019

On behalf of the organizing and scientific committee of the UAE Obesity Congress, it is my pleasure and great privilege to extend the warmest welcome to you. Our congress will be held on the 11th-12th Ocotber 2019 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As you know, the UAE and the gulf region are at the epicentre of the Diabetes & Obesity epidemic. In this congress, we have brought local, regional and international faculty to address the current issues and up to date knowledge regarding the management of obesity and type II Diabetes in 2019. The UAE Obesity Congress will aim to evaluate the status, current and best practice in the management of obesity & type II Diabetes from the perspective of primary care. In addition, we will address the issues pertaining to the management of obesity and type II Diabetes as it pertains to specialists including but not limited to the different disciplines involved in the multi-disciplinary care of patients with obesity and type II DM. Attendees will gain understanding of mechanisms and causes of obesity, why patients don’t lost weight with diet alone, and will gain insights into the prevention of obesity in the community and the prevention of the complications of obesity in clinical practice. In addition, experts will address medical, endoscopic and surgical options of obesity and type II Diabetes. Again, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the UAE Obesity Congress.
