INVITATION

The 8th IWA-ASPIRE Conference and Exhibition (Conference) is just around the corner. We have received an overwhelming response so far with over 800 registrations of which over 60% are from overseas and Mainland China, and together with our honoured guests and keynote speakers, we are expecting the 3-day Conference from 31 Oct (Thu) to 2 Nov (Sat) will have over 1,000 delegates and nearly 200 oral presentations.
Despite the recent situation in Hong Kong as reported through the global media, we believe that the impact on the Conference would be insignificant as there have been no incidents happened near the Conference venue - Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). Most of the events of the HKCEC in the last couple of months have been held as scheduled.
As for our Conference, all the activities except for a couple of optional activities would be held at the HKCEC. Dedicated transportation would be provided for these optional offsite activities.
Since the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region would take every effective measures to revert the situation back to normal as soon as possible, we see that it would still be safe to visit Hong Kong.
