The 54th annual meeting of the European Association for the Study of the Liver, EASL - The International Liver Congress ILC 2019 will be held in Vienna, Austria between 10-14 April 2019. The European Association for the Study of the Liver started as a small group of 70 hepatologists from 15 European countries who came together to share best medical practice in April 1966. Over half a century later EASL has evolved into a major European Association with international influence dedicated to the liver and liver disease. EASL has given rise to many international clinical trials and research collaborations to the benefit of patients all over the world.
ILC is EASL's flagship event. It gathers up to 11,000 liver experts each year and features a high-calibre, multi-disciplinary scientific programme presenting groundbreaking information and in-depth examination of essential liver related topics. The ILC takes place every April in major European cities with excellent travel connections from all continents.
