Dear Colleagues, Dear Friends,
It is our great pleasure to invite you to participate in the 45th FEBS Congress, entitled ”Molecules of Life: Towards New Horizons“, which will be held from July 3rd to July 8th, 2021, in Ljubljana, Slovenia, hosted by the Slovenian Biochemical Society together with the Croatian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
The 45th FEBS Congress was planned to be organized in July 2020, but in the light of the COVID-19 pandemic it has been postponed to July 2021. We will keep the same schedule and scientific programme as prepared for the Congress in the year 2020 and we believe that it will provide much of interest and value for you.
The Congress will feature an impressive number of distinguished scientists presenting key research findings on biochemistry and molecular biology and other related disciplines. Besides prestigious plenary and invited symposium lectures, various shorter talks (short, speed and early-bird) and poster sessions will give the opportunity to most participants to present their work at the Congress. The program includes also a range of science-related educational and social topics as well as an exhibition and updates from non-academic partners and industry.
In addition to the science, we will organize several social events and provide activities for participants to experience Ljubljana, a vibrant capital of Slovenia with a strong cultural and academic tradition. Ljubljana prides itself on being a green, safe, relaxed, friendly and cosmopolitan city, and the Congress venue, accommodation and places of interest are conveniently within walking distance. Ljubljana offers to visitors a charming old town with many historical sites, beautiful landscape and many possibilities for excursions to other parts of beautiful Slovenia and neighboring countries. Interestingly, it is the first time that the FEBS Young Scientists’ Forum, which is held immediately before the Congress, will be organized outside the host country, in Lovran, a lovely small town, located at the Croatian Mediterranean coast.
