The 2019 Focused Meeting of the European Society for Immunodeficiencies-ESID 2019

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

We are delighted to invite you to the 2nd ESID Focused Meeting, which will be held from 18-21 September 2019, in Brussels, Belgium. The theme of the meeting is ‘PID and Malignancy’ and it is being organised for you by the Local and International Scientific Committee as well as the ESID Board.

The ESID 2019 Meeting in Brussels will be a unique meeting, focusing on the fascinating and important intertwinement between primary immunodeficiencies, infections and malignancy. We have selected the very best, internationally distinguished speakers to cover this field. Topics include PIDs with a well-known increased risk of malignancy, (such as DNA repair disorders, CVID, T cell deficiencies) the impact of viral infections on the development of malignancies, the immunology of the tumor microenvironment and much, much more. Issues regarding pathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment and screening will be approached from different viewpoints.

Moreover, we have included the ESID “classics” such as “Meet the Expert” sessions to update you with the newest findings in PID. The educational program will as usual be organised on the first day and throughout the Meeting education will be a priority. Evidently there will be plenty opportunities to liaise with colleagues and experts during the entire Meeting. Thus, ESID 2019 will bring something for each and every one of you!
