Symposium on Robotics and New Technologies in Prostate Cancer

Dear Friends,

Robotic surgery has an evolving role in the daily practice of urologists. Robotic surgery education is initiated during residency training in many developed countries and young urologists have access to robotic surgery early in their career. Scientific meetings serve as one of the key occasions for training, where experts share their expertise and present up-to-date knowledge. Importantly, these meetings also allow for face-to-face personal communication and opportunity to exchange experiences and ideas among attendees.

The Society of Urologic Robotic Surgeons (A Working Group of The Endourological Society) and Acıbadem University have collaborated for the organization of a symposium to be held on April 12-13, 2018 in Istanbul at Swissotel The Bosphorus. We will focus on prostate cancer in depth and cover update knowledge in robotic surgery, new technologies and emerging treatment modalities in prostate cancer. International and national experts in the field will be involved and live surgery demonstrations, panels and lectures will be presented.

On April 14, the day following the symposium, a one day course will take place. The topic of the course will be multiparametric prostate MRI, MR-TRUS fusion biopsy and focal therapy in prostate cancer.
April is one of the finest times to be in Istanbul, when the city is extremely colorful with the blooming of the famous tulips and redbud trees.
