SASP Congress Oslo 2019

The congress aims to identify major research questions in the field of pain, to promote debate and foster collaboration. Speakers will be challenged to go beyond the state of the art and outside their comfort zone to identify the key knowledge gaps and research opportunities that transcend traditional disciplinary and methodological boundaries. The congress will feature two innovative concepts:

Resource market: In this special poster session senior scientists and clinicians can present their group, cohorts, methods, career opportunities – in short, anything that is useful for other scientists and clinicians. (see Special Sessions for further details)

User participation workshop: This workshop will provide a unique opportunity for patients, patient advocacy groups, health administrators, and researchers to share experiences and develop models for user involvement in research. (see Special Sessions for further details)

Speakers: More than twenty internationally renowned speakers from the five Nordic countries and the UK, representing the disciplines of Medicine, Nursing, Psychology, Physiotherapy, Biology, Statistics, Engineering, and Economy.

PhD Course (April 3rd): Key lectures on methodology. Tour of basic science and human experimental labs. PhD students present their work and receive constructive feedback from senior scientists. To gain maximum benefit participants should submit an abstract (see Abstracts).

Travel grants: MA, PhD and Post-Doc students submitting abstracts can compete for travel grants of 3750 SEK
