International Pediatric Radiology Congress-IPR 2021

The organizing committees along with the ESPR and SPR boards monitored and assessed the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and potential vaccine development, and decided to postpone the IPR until October 11-15, 2021.

The two Boards feel strongly that the IPR should be an in-person meeting if at all possible and although there is great hope for an in-person meeting in October, preparations will also be made for a hybrid meeting.

Hybrid events became an important and successful method of hosting events before the COVID-19 pandemic took hold. Due to our current situation, the spotlight is increasingly turning to hybrid events as a mean for organizations to hold an in-person event adhering to the social distancing rules while offer the virtual option. A hybrid event allows in-person participants to benefit of social gatherings and those who cannnot attend, to enjoy the flexibility of a virtual engagement. The goal is to make the experience equally riveting for both groups.

We again invite you to Rome as we have planned outstanding scientific, educational and social programs that offer unique opportunities to learn, discuss and celebrate pediatric radiology with colleagues from around the world. An outstanding international faculty has been assembled. The motto for the 2021 IPR remains, “Building on the Classics: History, Innovation and Inspiration” and highlights the continuity of growth in knowledge in the pediatric imaging field.

We are sure you understand that the decision was made to maximize the chances of having a truly safe and in-person spectacular IPR meeting.
