International Fine Arts and Conservatory Student Congress-ARTCONS

Maltepe University Faculty of Fine Arts and Conservatory organizes the International Fine Arts and Conservatory Student Congress ARTCONS for all undergraduate and graduate students from Turkey and abroad. Graduate students can participate, provided that it is within the last year of their education (valid for countries whose BA education lasts 3 years). The congress will be held ONLINE on 20-21 May 2021. Our congress hosted many participants from Asia, Europe, Africa, North and South America in previous years.

People develop utopias or dystopias with their curiosity and longing for the different on the problems that exist in their societies.

The "Another World" ideals that come to life with these dystopias and utopias turn into places where we feel safer in order to get away from the problems we internalize and the concrete.

When faced with many different problems that often bother us, "Another World" thinking becomes a tool to bring those problems to a place where we can gather them under one roof and solve them.

In addition, "Another World" is an issue that is not far from reality, maybe located right in it but needs to be examined in order to see it.

Art, which is our guide in this research, turns into a reality that underlies "Another World", where we can create differences to get away from ourselves and our society.

Perhaps it may be possible to go deep into our subconscious or reveal different phenomena in this way in order to make a difference in art.
