International Conference on Coal Science & Technology (ICCS&T2019) is one of the world's leading conferences in the field of coal research which typically gathers several hundred delegates representing academia, industry, and governments from all over the world. The Conference is held every second year in different countries. The last six conferences were in China (2017), Australia (2015), USA (2013), Spain (2011), South Africa (2009) and the UK (2007).
The 17th ICCS&T is being held for the first time in Central Europe in November 2019 in Krakow, a historical and academic centre and former capital of Poland. It is being jointly organised by AGH University of Science and Technology, the Mineral and Energy Economy Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the IEA Clean Coal Centre, and supported by the Central Mining Institute (GIG) and the Institute for Chemical Processing of Coal.
