Frontiers in Reproduction and Stem Cells Course

We are honored to announce that the inaugural Frontiers in Reproduction and Stem Cells course will be held in Istanbul between November 11 and 17, 2018, with the aim of providing scientific and moral support to researchers from the conflict zones in the Middle East. As such, this inaugural Frontiers course in Istanbul is not only a scientific meeting but also a social responsibility project that displays solidarity with young researchers, who may be deprived of opportunities they deserve, as a consequence of the turmoil in the region.

A world-class cadre of international faculty will teach both basic and advanced laboratory techniques in reproductive biology. Select lectures will accompany hands on courses in order to provide a complete overview of each subject. Young researchers will benefit from the experience and vision of the senior faculty during career mentoring sessions. Full program is available at the website.

Frontiers in Istanbul is funded by generous grants from the International Cell Research Organization, a UNESCO affiliated scientific society, Koc University School of Medicine, Koc University Research Center for Translational Medicine, and the Turkish Society of Reproductive Medicine. Financial support to cover training, meals and accommodation of trainees will be available based on need.

We welcome applications from graduate students, postdoctoral and clinical fellows as well as junior faculty in particular from the Middle East region, Turkey and neighbors. Sixteen participants will be selected from a competitive admissions pool. While the laboratory sessions are limited to accepted participants, lectures are open to public attendance.
