Despite the release from quarantine in many countries, the ongoing situation due to the COVID-19 Pandemic for the next months, remains uncertain but also unpredictable.
So the “face to face” EFAS meeting planned in Marseille from the 22nd to the 24th of October 2020 will not be possible, in order to respect the safety and wellbeing of delegates, EFAS members, but also staff and teams of MCO Secretary and the different partners/industry. EFAS council decided to follow the advice from the different European Governments, the World Health Organization and the Scientific Community, according to the new rules about travel and social distancing. Therefore, following another EFAS council decision, the EFAS Congress in Marseille becomes virtual the 23rd-24th October 2020! Stay tuned!
In the meantime and to maintain the traditional/conventional congress, so highly appreciated, EFAS will organize the next Congress in Lyon at the Palais des Congrès from 21st to 23rd of October 2021! We are more than happy to welcome you for the “EFAS Lyon Congress 2021”. Free papers submissions will be left open for those who want to update/change their already submitted abstracts or submit their new abstracts in the future. The congress website will be updated in the next coming days, according to the rescheduled dates.

On behalf the EFAS council members, I’m sending a special thought and moral support to all our members who took care of patients in their hospitals in Europe, but also all over the foot and ankle society world, during the peak of Pandemic. I would also like to express my deepest sympathy and solidarity to those of you who have been personally affected by the virus.
Nevertheless, the future will be sunny and bright for our community.
