Asian EUS Congress 2019

It is a great pleasure to announce that we will hold Asian EUS Congress2019 at Schonbach Sabo in Tokyo.

Asian EUS Group (AEG) is a non-profit organization founded in 2012 for the purposes (1) to propagate knowledge and skills of endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) in Asian countries, (2) to formulate guidelines on diagnosis and treatment using EUS and Endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration (EUS-FNA), and (3) to conduct joint study on EUS and EUS-FNA EUS. With its head office located in Singapore and Professor Lawrence Ho (National University Hospital in Singapore) as Chairman, AEG has 21 Asian countries as members. Representing Japan and as one of seven Steering Committee members, I take part in deciding AEG’s projects. For the first purpose, propagation of knowledge and skills of EUS, we hold Asian EUS Congress every two years. The first Congress took place in Seoul, South Korea, and the second Congress in Mumbai, India.

The Congress scheduled to take place in April 12-14, 2019, in Tokyo, Japan with a theme “From Basics to Advanced Applications, and Future Perspectives” will call for participants from Asian countries and expect more than 500 endoscopists participants.
