8. International Symposium on Menieres Disease and Inner Ear Disorders

It is my pleasant duty to extend you all a cordial welcome to the 8th International Symposium on Meniere’s Disease and Inner Ear Disorders which will take place in Shanghai, China, from April 22 to 25, 2021, jointly hosted by CHINESE SOCIETY OF OTOLARYNGOLOGY- HEAD & NECK SURGERY and SHANGHAI SOCIETY OF OTOLARYNGOLOGY- HEAD & NECK SURGERY. This great event will bring together the brightest minds from all over the world, hence creating an unprecedented opportunity for global cooperation in the field of neuro-otology.

The International Symposiums on Meniere’s Disease and Inner Ear Disorders were successively held in Germany (1980), the United States (1988), Italy (1993), France (1999), USA (2005), Japan (2010) and Italy (2015), each of which was acclaimed as a fruitful leap toward the cutting-edge research on Meniere's disease and inner ear disorders.

Shanghai is lucky to be another witness of such a spectacular symposium in the year 2021. As one of the most dynamic cosmopolitan cities, Shanghai has increasingly attracted the world’s attention with its vibrant atmosphere in boosting the continuous advancement of finance, science and technology, medical care and culture. It will doubtless add more inspirational elements to the upcoming symposium.

Our goal as the host of the 8th symposium is to provide a forum for neuro-otology experts and other participants to discuss and share the latest research outcomes and innovative techniques in the management of Meniere’s Disease and Inner Ear Disorders.
