Dear Colleagues and Friends,
The Organizing Committee welcomes you to participate in the 8th Annual Meeting of Asian Organization for Crohn’s & Colitis (AOCC 2020) to be held in Busan, Korea from December 16 to 18, 2020, as a Virtual & Onsite Hybrid Congress.
The world has seen a fair bit of challenges this year due to COVID-19, which led us to make the difficult decision of moving the congress from June to December. Unfortunately, as the global situation has not markedly improved, it is difficult to anticipate how the travel restrictions for each country (and their affiliation) will change by December. After careful consideration, the AOCC 2020 Organizing Committee has decided to move forward with a Virtual and Onsite Congress to address the concerns of participants who are unable to confirm their participation and to ensure the stability of the schedule.
As our priority is always the health and safety of our attendees, as well as the patients and communities they serve, the decision has been made, and we thank you for your understanding.
Under the theme “Gateway to excellence in IBD research and practice”, the detailed disciplines of IBD from the present to the future will be in focus. The World-renowned speakers will present virtually and onsite as scheduled. Additionally, oral presentations and E-posters will be presented on our virtual platform. We are planning an interactive meeting with on-site Q & A streamed in real-time. Participants who cannot attend on-site will be able to participate in the Q & A through the chat function on the virtual platform. This will be an exciting new opportunity for all gastroenterologists, surgeons, pediatricians, basic scientists, and nurses around the world to engage with our speakers.
We will follow up with further details on the programs and virtual format soon.
