Washington DC. Springtime. 2021.
Mark your calendars for April 26 and 27 of 2021 for a very exciting and informative Sixth World Congress of the Association of Plastic Surgeons of Lebanese Descent (APSLD) at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in the heart of Washington D.C.! We look forward to welcoming you to our conference organized by the Association of Plastic Surgeons of Lebanese Descent and our international friends and colleagues, in collaboration with the Lebanese Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (LSPRAS), member of the European Association of Societies of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (EASAPS) and the Lebanese Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery (LSRM), corresponding member of the European Federation of Societies for Microsurgery (EFSM).
Our journey started in 2010 when we met for the first time in Beirut, followed by successful meetings in Cancun (2012), Beirut (2014), São Paulo (2017), and Beirut again (2019). Next meeting in Washington DC will have the theme of "The Intersection of Plastic Surgery and Technology" and will be preceded by a two-day hands-on workshop on April 24 and 25 for plastic surgeons and mid-level providers to explore the latest in minimally invasive technology!
Lebanon is a country with more of its citizens and their descendants living abroad than in it! As such, these bi-annual APSLD scientific congresses are a vehicle of strengthening ties of heritage, scientific knowledge exchange and collaboration, and most importantly, fostering great lifelong friendships with plastic surgeons of all nationalities! Our social calendar is rich in culture and entertainment, allowing our younger members to interact in a relaxed environment with world class plastic surgeons. This meeting's social agenda will be highlighted by a reception at the Lebanese Embassy in Washington D.C. and a Gala Dinner in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area!
Washington D.C. in Springtime with the beautiful cherry blossom scenery and monuments will be a great venue to bring our colleagues from all over the world. This congress with local and world class participants will be a rewarding scientific exchange in many aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery. All colleagues of Lebanese descent or not are welcome to participate!
