6. Symposium on Membrane Technologies and Applications-MEMTEK 2019

National Research Center on Membrane Technologies (MEM-TEK) was established in Istanbul Technical University in 2010. The vision of MEM-TEK is becoming a worldwide leader membrane technology center on membrane manufacturing, module development and process improvement on water and wastewater applications. MEM-TEK makes research to improve current techniques and to develop novel techniques on membrane. Besides, MEM-TEK will supply an infrastructure and technical knowledge about membrane technologies which is required for industries.

Parallel to research and development activities, MEM-TEK gives importance to the share of scientific knowledge. Within this context, MEM-TEK organizes symposiums and workshops at the national and international level. The first two of MEMTEK symposiums were organized by Istanbul Technical University in 2009 and 2011, the following ones were organized by Firat University in 2013, Suleyman Demirel University in 2015 and Gebze Technical University in 2017. The sixth of the MEMTEK symposium (MEMTEK 2019) will be held by Istanbul Technical University at international level.

In the MEMTEK 2019, researchers, professionals, engineers and companies came together to enlighten the current status and future prospects of membrane manufacturing and membrane treatment technologies. This symposium aimed to enable participants to exchange knowledge on emerging issues and technologies on membrane technologies. Keynote speakers were specially invited from worldwide for this event.
