It gives me immense pleasure to announce that the 48th Annual Conference of Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine (IAPSMCON 2021) will be held on 19th-21st March 2021 (Preconference workshop on 18th March 2021). For the ﬁrst time in the history of the conference, it will be held on digital mode. IAPSMCON 2021 will be hosted by Department of Community Medicine and School of Public Health, Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh. The theme for IAPSMCON 2021 is “Public Health in 21st Century: Current Challenges and Future Opportunities”. I hope that the conference will surely prove to be an eﬀective platform for the participants to chart out the intricacies involved in the theme.
For the past few months, our social and oﬃcial lives have been more or less in suspended animation on account of our close encounters with the ‘Covid-19 Crisis’. The conference will hopefully provide us all an opportunity to re-bond with each other virtually.
