Dear Colleagues and Friends,
On behalf of the International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes (ISPAD), we are excited to invite you to attend the 45th Annual ISPAD Conference in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, convening from October 30-November 2, 2019. This is a most beautiful time of year in historic Boston, one of the oldest cities in the United States, founded in 1630. The conference will take place during autumn, the season full of vibrant colors as the foliage changes to prepare the trees for a dormant winter . And while the seasons are constantly changing in Boston, the city’s vibrant institutions of medicine, research, technology, engineering, and arts, never sleep and are always advancing – and diabetes is no exception.
The 45th Annual ISPAD Conference will highlight that “The future of pediatric diabetes care and research starts NOW!” The meeting will include many preeminent scientists and physicians from Harvard Medical School and other prominent institutions in Boston as well as leading investigators and clinicians from around the globe to share their newest research and clinical care paradigms with a multi-disciplinary audience of attendees. In addition to the expectations for great discussions about science, medicine, and research, Boston has wonderful museums, restaurants, and a combination of city streets and green areas for enjoyable jogs or walks.
We welcome the experienced as well as those continuing to get experience in pediatric diabetes care and research from around the world, with backgrounds as doctors, nurses, dietitians, psychologists, social workers, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, exercise physiologists, pharmacists, childlife specialists, and more.
Our goal is to promise all young persons living with diabetes and their families that, with advances in research and care, tomorrow will be better than today– starting NOW! Please come to Boston to learn with us and have fun!
