4. International Enzyme and Bioprocess Days-EBDays 2023

Welcome to the 4th Enzyme and Bioprocess Days (EBDays)!

Our EBDays 2023 conferences on enzymes and bioprocesses are back after a joyless year. This series of conferences is organized under the auspices of the East Marmara Development Agency (MARKA) project. They address a topic that is critical to meeting many societal needs: enzyme engineering, enzyme discovery, enzyme mechanism, enzyme kinetics, enzyme purification technologies, enzyme-based technologies, enzyme applications, bioprocessing for fine chemicals, bioprocess development, computational studies for enzymes, and bioprocessing.
As a result, there is a constant need for new production platforms that can deliver higher quality protein products in a more sustainable 'greener' way.

The EBDays conferences address the new challenges to be overcome by providing a comprehensive overview of current bottlenecks and innovative solutions in enzyme production in different cell factories, from microbial to higher eukaryotic recombinant protein production platforms. Key topics will include cell engineering for enzyme production (including large-scale genome engineering), cell biology and physiology under recombinant enzyme production process conditions (with special emphasis on comparative physiology across platform cell factories), recombinant enzyme smart biomanufacturing (RPP4.0), and overcoming challenges in post-translational modifications.

The 4th EBDays conference builds on the success of previous meetings in this series, held since 2014, which have attracted a broad interdisciplinary community of researchers from both academia and the bioprocessing industry.

We look forward to exciting presentations in the oral and poster sessions and rewarding discussions.
