4. International Conference of the Trisomy 21 Research Society

Dear colleagues,

Greetings and salutations from T21RS! I am excited to announce that we are approaching the time for the 4th International Conference of the Trisomy 21 Research Society. We will meet on Thursday the 9th through Sunday the 12th of June 2022 in Long Beach, California. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend this in-person meeting!

The mission of T21RS is to provide a distinguished forum for communicating and advancing preclinical and clinical research on Down syndrome. It seeks to ensure that advances in understanding of the biology of Down syndrome are translated into interventions that promote health and wellbeing. The meeting in Long Beach is our next opportunity to showcase the important work of the Society and to support the person-to-person interactions for sharing ideas and for planning new research activities. Thus, as we exit the pandemic we can again celebrate the ability to connect with one another and to sketch the future of research and care for those with Down syndrome.

We expect to host more than 200 delegates from across the world. Our Local Organizing Committee (link: https://t21rs2022.com/organizing-committee/) headed by Drs Elizabeth Head and Jorge Busciglio has committed countless hours to organize the meeting. The Scientific Programme Committee has prepared an intriguing program that offers many opportunities to share recent advances and to engage both colleagues and advocates.
