Dear colleagues,
It is a great honour to host and organise the 38th Annual Meeting of the European Bone and Joint Infection Society, which will take place in Antwerp, Belgium on 12-14th September 2019. The conference will be held in the Flanders Meeting & Convention Center Antwerp, conveniently located in the heart of the city, a few minutes walk from the Antwerp central station.
Antwerp, one of the world's major seaports and the international center of the diamond industry is today a veritable cultural capital, which prides itself on its impressive architecture and splendid art. Situated on the Scheldt River and 25 miles north of Brussels, Antwerp is a vibrant city that offers many possibilities for entertainment, shopping, culture and nature.
The conference will bring together experts, practitioners and companies involved in the treatment of bone and joint infections. Professionals attending the conference will benefit from high-level scientific presentations, knowledge sharing and networking opportunities. The scientific programme will be provided with keynote lectures, free paper sessions, industry symposia and posters.
The main conference theme is: "From basic science to clinical practice: the importance of translation science in the development of concepts on infection prevention and treatment"
