It is a pleasure for us to invite you to participate in the XXXI World Congress of the World Association of Societies of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (WASPaLM), together with the XXVI Congress of the Latin American Association of Clinical Pathology / Laboratory Medicine (ALAPAC / ML ), the XVIII Uruguayan Congress of Clinical Pathology (SUPAC) and the 1st International Meeting of Medical Residents in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, to be held from September 29 to October 2, 2022, in Punta del Este - Uruguay.
The mission of WASPaLM is to improve health around the world by promoting the teaching and practice of all aspects of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. The contribution of Clinical Pathology in this pandemic has been relevant; COVID19 taught us to be always prepared. Recent advances and future guidelines in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine in pandemic times are included in the Congress theme: "Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Beyond Technology and Health Care."
WASPaLM, as a world scientific association, wants its congresses to be those of all the scientific societies and associations that constitute it. Thus, we invite you to participate, with your symposiums, with the support of residents, who are our future, in the 1st Meeting of Resident Physicians in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, with the challenge of scientific work, and with the ideas and proposals of all, for the development of our WASPaLM. We deeply thank you for that.
Let's hope the pandemic let us meet face to face. That is the reason why we decided to change the date from 2021 to 2022. Punta del Este is a beautiful seaside resort, a unique city in Latin America which is modern and easily accessed, with air connectivity with the whole world. Its quality of life, security and friendliness will allow us to enjoy a pleasant stay in autumn, that will be at its peak.
