Dear Friends & Colleagues,
We would like to invite you to join us for the 3rd Annual Heart in Diabetes (HiD) Medical Conference. Following the incredible success of the initial two HiD meetings, along with encouragement from participants and combined with overabundance of new data, planning for the 3rd Heart in Diabetes is underway. The Conference will be held July 12-14, 2019, at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel (1200 Market St, Philadelphia, PA 19107).
This CME program is a unique medical conference designed to evaluate state-of-the-art clinical research outcomes on heart and kidney disease in diabetes and its implications for clinical practice. HiD will bring together world-renowned clinical leaders in diabetes, CVD, CKD and the liver to develop a multi-disciplinary, comprehensive understanding of the impact of new clinical science on the management of cardiometabolic conditions. The goal is to help cardiologists, endocrinologists, lipidologists, nephrologists, hepatologists and Primary Care Experts align their goals and management approaches to provide best practices for high-risk patients.
Recent trials have demonstrated a cardiovascular benefit from agents that control glycemia, lipids, blood pressure, and inflammation in people with diabetes. However, among practicing professionals, including experts in the field, there is a gap in understanding the implications of these new developments and their impact on disease management.
The meeting provides up-to-date clinical science of the Heart in Diabetes by providing multidisciplinary outcome data and its implications for practice by evaluating data from the cardiology, endocrine/diabetes, and kidney points of view. Sessions will cover data and management of lipids, glucose, coronary syndromes, congestive heart failure, the kidney, coagulation, arrhythmia, other related conditions, while evaluating the relevance of society guidelines. The meeting will promote discussions through panels and debates and, for the first time this year, HiD will showcase abstracts which will be published in Clinical Cardiology.
