Welcome Message from Chair of ICCECRICE 2026
Dear Colleagues
On behalf of the organizing committee of the 28th IUPAC International Conference on Chemistry Education & 17th EuChemS European Conference of Research in Chemical Education (ICCECRICE 2026), it is my great pleasure to invite you to participate in ICCECRICE 2026 from July 13-17, 2026, in Erzurum, Türkiye – The peak of Anatolia.
Integrating technology into chemistry teaching and learning is a transformative approach that empowers students and educators alike, creating a dynamic learning environment that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and a deeper appreciation for the wonders of chemistry. Therefore, the theme of the conference is planned as “Chemistry Education in the Age of Artificial Intelligence”.
We strongly believe that the joint organization of the 28th ICCE & 17th ECRICE (ICCECRICE 2026) will bring the experience of ICCE and ECRICE back to Türkiye, which was experienced in 2012 in Rome-Italy.
We look forward to warmly welcoming you, your family, and colleagues at ICCECRICE 2026 in Erzurum, a city established in the northeast part of Türkiye with more than thousands of years of education history. Please mark your calendar on July 13-17, 2026.
With best wishes
Prof. Mustafa Sözbilir
Chair, ICCECRICE 2026
Welcome Message from President of Turkish Chemical Society
It is my great pleasure to invite you to the 28th IUPAC International Conference on Chemistry Education & 17th EuChemS European Conference of Research in Chemical Education (ICCECRICE 2026), which will be held at Atatürk University, Erzurum-Türkiye during July 13-17, 2026.
Turkish Chemical Society (TCS) organized the 18th ICCE in 2004 and 9th ECRICE in 2008. The previous conferences took place in Istanbul, a city bridging two continents. This time we intend to move to the east of Türkiye. Erzurum is a city established in the northeast part of Türkiye with more than thousands of years of education history and is called as the “Peak of Anatolia”. Atatürk University, founded as a land-grant university in 1957, is one of the largest public universities as well as among 20 public research universities in Türkiye. Atatürk University has been serving as a hub of educational and cultural excellence not just for Türkiye but also internationally.
TCS will also organize the National Chemistry Congress at Atatürk University to increase the impact of ICCECRICE 2026 with the strong participation of local scientists.
Look forward to seeing you, July 13-17, 2026
Prof. Bahattin Yalçın
President of Turkish Chemical Society
