Dear friends and colleagues,
On behalf of the European Society for Animal Cell Technology I am delighted to invite you to join us in Lisboa, Portugal, for the 27th ESACT meeting to be held from 26 to 29 of June 2022.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemics, our conference, previously planned for June 2021, was postponed to 2022. This decision was primarily based on the responsibility the ESACT committees feel for all ESACT conference participants. Also because ESACT, where networking plays a key role, wouldn’t be the same conference with the current restrictions and social distancing situation.
In 2022 ESACT will be celebrating 46 years; our conference motto Advanced Cell Technologies: Making Protein, Cell, and Gene Therapies a Reality is challenging ESACT initials - by replacing Animal for Advanced we want to broaden further the spectrum of the Technologies we will be discussing during the exciting program we are preparing for 4 full days. As in previous ESACT meetings, the program will be designed to provide access to the latest innovations, advances, tools and equipment in Cell Technology.
We hope that in 2022 we will also have extra motives to celebrate life and being together in a COVID free environment thus we will complement the more traditional schedule that promotes interaction and networking opportunities among all participants, with some surprises with different and innovative activities.
The meeting will take place at The Lisbon Congress Center. This venue is located in one of the most striking areas of Lisboa, by the Tagus River, near the Belém tower, facing its beautiful red bridge… These intense elements influence the meeting logo. The facilities in the venue will enable to run the meeting efficiently, providing good proximity between the auditorium, the trade exhibition & posters and the catering.
You will also experience the kindness, culture and warmth of the Portuguese people that, with all the Latin hospitality, will commit to offer you a very pleasant stay.
We believe that all ingredients will be present to make ESACT 2022 an enjoyable, fruitful and unforgettable experience. We are certain that you will take home with you many unforgettable memories.
