20th Asia Pasific Orthopaedic Association Congress

This will be the 20th Congress of the Association that began in 1962. The purpose of the Congress is both to learn and to meet. Learning takes place in the meeting rooms but also in one to one discussions with the leaders in the field of orthopaedics and medicine. We can easily find out whatever we need to know by simply browsing the internet, emailing or skyping someone. However, in order to get the full meaning of a philosophy or to participate in a meaningful discussion, face to face encounters are necessary. This principle applies at all levels, whether it be a humble beginner or a master of the art. Thus the need for Congresses.

I hope that you will take time out of your busy schedule to come to Antalya, gateway to the Turkish Riviera, to meet the people who have revolutionised orthopaedic surgery in our world. The best part is that you can be having a meaningful discussion over a wonderful Turkish breakfast of breads, honey and coffee, not to mention the myriad of tasty Turkish delights that are available. Or you could do it whilst traipsing around the old town of Kaleiçi, a walled inner city, or at one of the best preserved Roman amphitheaters in the world. Please come and join us.
