Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the organizing committee, I am excited to invite you to the 2019 Annual Endocrine Society Clinical Weekend, to be held at the stunning InterContinental Hotel Double Bay, Sydney on the 17 - 18 August 2019.
We also welcome delegates planning to registrar for AOTA-ESA-SRB later in the week to attend this weekend meeting. We would particularly welcome international guests planning to attend AOTA.
A/Prof Angela Leung from UCLA will open the program with 'practice changing updates in the management of our thyroid patients'. Prof Daniel Drucker from University of Toronto will help us understand 'why our patients are obese and how in 2019 we change that'. In addition, we will hear from Prof Emma Duncan from Queensland University of Technology discussing 'genetic testing appropriate for endocrinologists' and then Prof Jerry Greenfield from Sydney will deliver a talk on 'personalised treatment for our patients with type two diabetes'.
In line with the topics of the ESA conference our registrars will present illuminating cases on the following topics:
1. Thyroid disease
2. Neuroendocrine tumors and imagings
3. Hormone driven cancer
4. Endocrine disease in pregnancy
The social calendar will glitter with a packed event program. This includes a jazzy Friday Welcome Function in the gin bar of the InterContinental Hotel. On Saturday afternoon there will be an Amazing Race event across Sydney. That evening we are delighted to invite you to an Ottolengi inspired dinner at the Point Piper Yacht Club. The highlight of this dinner will be guest speaker Ronni Kahn, CEO of OzHarvest. Finally, for the early birds, there is the iconic Bondi to Bronte walk on Sunday morning.
This is going to be a wonderful event and we look forward to welcoming you to Sydney.
