20. International Congress on Oral Pathology and Oral Medicine-IAOP 2021

Dear Colleagues,

We are delighted to welcome you to the online 20th International Congress of Oral Pathology and Medicine, which is being organised jointly by our two societies and also held in conjunction with the Scandinavian Society of Oral Pathology and Medicine. Though we are now the immediate past-Presidents of our respective societies we are pleased to continue to be your hosts for this replacement meeting, postponed from 2020.

We were, of course, very disappointed that the Covid-19 pandemic prevented us from meeting you in person in London, both in 2020 and 2021. However, we are confident that you will find our replacement programme interesting and educational. It has had to be much reduced, but still includes invited and prize lectures, a slide seminar, the debate and clinico-pathology conference, always highlights of the meeting. We are grateful to the many speakers who have agreed to move to the online format.

The meeting will be held in the week of 21st June 2021 and we hope you can join us for as much of it as possible. One of the advantages of the online format is that many members who would have been unable to travel to London can now participate. In addition, both the IAOP and BSOMP have generously agreed to run the meeting at no cost to members, allowing us to open the meeting to non-members (prospective members we hope) worldwide. We hope those who have not attended our meetings before will be encouraged to come to future Congresses and look forward to meeting you in the future.
