18. World Congress of The International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics

The ISPO World Congress is a premiere global event for prosthetics, orthotics, and assistive technology services that improve mobility and quality of life for people with physical disabilities. As ISPO President, it is my privilege to invite you to the 2021 virtual event and to join us in celebrating ISPO’s 50th anniversary, sharing ideas and innovations to improve knowledge and services, exploring the trade exhibition, and expanding your digital circle of influence with other delegates.

The World Congress theme is “Digital Transformation in an Evolving World”. This is a timely topic since assistive technology service providers and innovators have needed digital tools to communicate and meet the needs of end-users during the global pandemic. However, this transformation from manual to digitally enhanced services has been progressing over the past few decades. The ISPO World Congress will facilitate learning and exchange of experiences that can help with this transformation, enabling new abilities that improve the lives of people with mobility deficits.

This World Congress is the first virtual event of this scope hosted by ISPO. In addition to providing global access to state-of-the-art knowledge, this digital congress will also enable regional opportunities for delegates to engage with the sessions and explore regional perspectives.
