18. WFOT Congress

After careful consideration and in agreement with the WFOT Executive and Association Nationale Francaise des Ergotherapeutes (ANFE), a decision has been made to reschedule the 18th WFOT Congress in Paris, France to the 28 - 31 August 2022.

The International Congress is held every four years and brings together occupational therapists, assistants and students from across the globe to develop professional fellowship, exchange technical and scientific information and to promote high standards of occupational therapy practice, research and education worldwide.

The 2022 congress will feature unique social events, local tours, an extensive exhibition and programme of expert presentations on the 2022 theme “Occupational R-Evolution”.

Call for papers will open in 2020, and registrations in 2021. Subscribe to our newsletter for the latest updates, and check back with the website regularly.

The Congress will be a hybrid event, enabling you to attend in-person or online.

We acknowledge that international travel is still uncertain at this time. Virtual attendance options offer choice and flexibility for delegates, and allow opportunities to engage with those who may not be able to travel.

We strongly encourage those that can travel to Paris to attend in-person, to take advantage of the collegiality, networking opportunities and atmosphere that is unique to the International Congress.

We have all missed the opportunity of in-person occupational therapy events in the past year and are looking forward to the opportunity to connect in 2022.
