17. Challenges in Laparoscopy and Robotics

Dear Colleagues,

It is with great regret that we have decided to postpone the 17th edition of Challenges in Laparoscopy & Robotics (CILR20) 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic,

Since the outbreak of the coronavirus, the Organizing Committee has been closely monitoring the development of the pandemic, and the safety of our congress participants and the healthcare community as a whole has our highest priority.

Most distressing is the scale of human suffering that has befallen so many, and to all those affected we extend our sympathies and hopes for a full recovery.

While this situation continues to develop it is clear that it will not be possible to bring our professional community together for the CILR2020 in September this year. We will still have the Congress in Turin, however to ensure the safety of all and to enable full participation of delegates from all parts of the world, the Congress has been re-scheduled to June 3-4-5, 2021.

Please note that this postponement is a fully equivalent replacement for the planned event originally scheduled for June 18-21, 2020. It goes without saying that all of the paid registration fees are going to remain in place for the new congress dates.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to our registered participants and industry partners for their understanding, continuous support and flexibility.

While we regret that this course of action has become necessary, we resolve to use the extra time to invest even more effort, creativity and resources into enhancing the event and making sure it will be both innovative and enjoyable.
