11. Annual Meeting of The International Society of Forensic Radiology-ISFRI 2022

In my role as organizer of the ISFRI 2022, I am pleased to address these words to you at the beginning of the 21st century. I am cordially inviting you to the combined 11th annual meeting of the International Society of Forensic Radiology and Imaging and the 17th annual meeting of the International Association of Forensic Radiographers in Tokyo, Japan from May 12th – 14th 2022.

This ISFRI 2022 is the first ISFRI annual meeting in Asia and is hosted by Hokkaido University with co-hosted by the University of Tokyo and Chiba University.

It will be an open international conference where a wide range of researchers from all over the world, such as postmortem images, forensic images, anthropology, veterinary medicine, medical engineering, forensic nursing, DVI, police investigation, etc., have been working on ISFRI. It will also be a great opportunity to resume the interaction between members, restricted by COVID-19. (We are also considering a project that also uses the web.)

The scientific focus of the meeting will be on the research and the education. As one of the special projects in this year, image interpretation session will be planning to demonstrate an objective reading to investigate the cause of death by international experts. And the additional special projects, a basic post-mortem imaging training course is officially planning to improve reading skills based on the guideline on Wednesday (the day before the conference).

Beside these topic submissions, all field of forensic imaging are also welcomed.

Tokyo, the capital of Japan, is a city with many attractions even at night. We are also planning a social gathering while watching the Tokyo Bay Cruise and the night view of Tokyo skyscraper.

Tokyo is serviced by two international airports and an extended public transportation system.

The venue for this Congress will be held at the center of Tokyo (the ITO International Research Center at The University of Tokyo).
