10. Edition of The Emirates Diabetes and Endocrine Congress-EDEC 2020

As the incoming President for the Emirates Diabetes Society, I am honored and excited to continue the good work done under the EDS umbrella so far. I am extremely proud to announce that the 10th edition of the Emirates Diabetes & Endocrine Congress will take place from 27 -2 9 February 2020 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Looking back at 2019, the Congress experienced a record number of attendees reaching 3,833 delegates and had an extremely rich scientific program covering various topics across the spectrum of Diabetes and Endocrinology.

At our 10th edition we look at challenging at ourselves to raise the bar of the Congress by adding new innovations and topics, workshops, product theatres and many such things and are delighted to welcome a stellar lineup of speakers to this year's congress.

We at the Emirates Diabetes Society know first-hand that education is the key to building a foundation on which we can reduce the burden of diabetes and we as the medical community are in the forefront of this education transmission.

We will continue to provide the region's premier platform to update our participants on the recent advances in the ever-changing field of diabetes and endocrine diseases.

The global fight against diabetes and endocrine diseases continues to strengthen because of the on-going collaborations with our communities, and I have the highest hopes and confidence in that it will continue to do so!

I look forward to another successful meeting and welcome all new and returning participants to the Congress!
