The Vietnam Aviation Academy and the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS) are proud to jointly organise the 1st International Conference on Aviation Future: Challenge and Solution in Ho Chi Minh City, 1-2 April, 2021
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the aviation industry due to travel restrictions and a slump in demand among travellers. These events have impacted the aviation industry in a way that we simply haven’t seen before. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, all around the world aviation was experiencing what some have called the “Golden Age.” Vietnam air transport quadrupled over the last 10 years and was expected to grow with double digit figures; these extreme growth rates are no exception, but a representation of the demand in the region. Airlines were expanding their fleet and networks, offering more destinations and frequencies; Airports and Air Traffic Control were working on upgrading the capacity by building new facilities and/or make smarter use of those available, while aviation training institutes struggle to deliver the required amount of well trained and highly skilled professionals.
